Bohu and Tohu are personifications of the Hebrew words used in the Genesis story to describe the state of affairs on earth prior to creation. Most scholars of the Hebrew language translate the ancient words "bohu" and "tohu" as "Formless and Void." Who better to examine our lives than those who witnessed our creation? And I'll let you decide which one is Formless and which one is Void.

Bohu and Tohu Look at the Common Good
Bohu: According to propaganda published by the government and updated in 2016 (https://www.nps.gov/articles/rationing-in-wwii.htm "Sacrificing for the Common Good"), Americans during the second world war participated in rationing of everyday items like gasoline, sugar, dairy products, meat, certain fabrics, animal fats and oils. And get this, "Sacrificing certain items during the war became the norm for most Americans."
Tohu: Note how it reads, "most" Americans.
Bohu: Keen eye, Tohu. Let me tell you about the brave minority who refused to participate in rationing and were considered to be the true patriots of the war. They refused to submit to controls imposed by an over-reaching government during a so-called global emergency on the basis that rationing violated their "Constitutional rights."
Bohu: They were considered to be heroes then and are still revered by true patriots to this day.
Tohu: Meanwhile, the vast majority naively swallowed the government line, and like sheep being lead to their own slaughter, gave up their rights and their liberties "... for the common good."
Tohu: Truth.
